"People get introduced to boating in a variety of ways, and I would venture to guess that most of those ways involve having the veil lifted by a friend or family member.  I myself was introduced to the world of freedom-on-water by both the former and the latter.
It all started with a lifelong friendship - one that saw two boys growing up on the water around the South Shore of Massachusetts.  Swimming, fishing, cruising, tow-surfing, and too much partying were had by all on boats from a 7' Zodiac to a 34' Silverton sportfisher.  My friend's father taught us all of the things to do - and not to do - in a flurry of memories that involve the usual boating-bug-biting-themes: sunsets, laughter, solitude and bliss.
Fast forward a few years and I get pulled to Connecticut, where, (lo-and-behold!) there is a thriving boating community!  I never thought I'd find it, but I did - a glorious collection of salty mariners (and lots of newbies too), just ready to be my new community."

Peter Kozodoy is an advertising executive who lives in Connecticut and boats between CT, RI, MA and NY.  He is a graduate of Brandeis University, a professional SAG/AFTRA actor, speaks fluent Italian and has a black belt in Taekwondo.  He spends summer weekends on his boat, CARO, which in Italian means something dear to you, and something expensive.  Very.  Expensive.

  1. My name is David A. Winter and I am the father who taught the boys to love the water with all that comes with it. It's great to see two lifelong friends continue to love the water And now that they are grown into very successful adults it's even nicer that they would want my company in their leisure time. Therefore, I'm moving the boat on which they grew up to CT, so that we may spend the summers together, how neat is that?
So we'll all be in Chester to continue our summer traditions like, drinking, fishing, sunning, and bonding on the water.
I'm looking forward to a great summer.
    Love you guys!
