Boater Safety Cards by Davis Instruments |
For thousands of years, heading out on a boat left
shore-side loved ones wondering, “I hope they come back!”
Thankfully, we now live in a world of boating recreation
where a safe arrival is expected; however, that doesn’t mean accidents don’t
happen thanks to a mix of both mechanical and human error.
Enter the Davis Instruments Quick Reference Cards. These are flash cards for boaters, with
information ranging from basic procedures to emergency tactics, anchoring to
knot-tying, right-of-way rules to engine troubleshooting and much more. I can't think of anything more practical
and necessary!
The cards are coated in weatherproof high-strength plastic
and are notebook-size, meaning they’re ready to mount or hang in a quickly
accessible location. They even have
cards on the basics of celestial navigation, weather forecasting and piloting
basics, which would be great in an emergency situation.
I say, mandate that these cards be sold with every single
boat, or required upon state registration.
I can’t think of an easier way to get pertinent information into the
hands of a skipper in need at the time of distress. Kudos to Davis Instruments for such a great
product!
Quick Reference Cards retail for $9.99 each subject, while smaller Pocket Quick Reference Cards are $11.99 for a set of six.
